Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector in Warner Robins, GA is seeking a Staff Digital Engineer to lead digital circuit design and sustainment programs. The role focuses on FPGAs, CPLDs, and ASICs, with close collaboration across hardware, software, and systems teams. On-site daily, with a Secret clearance and a strong background in digital design.

The position emphasizes development of simulation frameworks, validation processes, and mentorship of engineers within a fast-paced IMS environment.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of directly relevant experience.
• Experience leading evaluation, selection, programming and testing of FPGAs for complex systems.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of digital circuits and systems (FPGAs, CPLDs, ASICs).
• Generate and update digital system requirements; select components based on specs.
• Use modeling/simulation tools to validate firmware before hardware is available.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers for integrated solutions.
• Implement rigorous testing/validation to meet specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers in digital design and signal processing.
