Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Staff Digital Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA.

Lead the design of digital circuits and systems including FPGAs, CPLDs, ASICs; generate system requirements; use modeling and simulation; collaborate with hardware/software teams; mentor junior engineers; hold DoD Secret clearance or able to maintain.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading FPGA evaluation, selection, programming and testing.
  • Experience providing subject matter expertise in advanced digital design, to include FPGAs.
  • Experience developing simulation frameworks and test benches.
  • Experience integrating firmware with software and hardware.
  • Experience with Xilinx product line and development tools.
  • Must currently hold or be able to maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance

  • Mentor junior engineers in digital design, including firmware and signal processing.

Your responsibilities will include:

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school with a minimum of 12 years directly relevant experience; Master’s with 10 Years; PhD with 8 Year.

  • Experience leading the evaluation, selection, programming and testing of FPGAs for complex systems.

  • Experience providing subject matter expertise in advanced digital design, to include FPGAs.

  • Experience developing simulation frameworks and test benches.

  • Experience integrating and troubleshooting firmware with software and hardware.

  • Experience with Xilinx product line and development tools.

  • Experience in aviation and/or Department of Defense programs.

  • Must currently hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with MATLAB or equivalent programming/analysis languages.

  • Experience developing simulation frameworks and performance models.

  • Experience in digital signal processing, digital beamforming, adaptive processing, or tracking algorithms.


Primary Level Salary Range: $168,200.00 - $252,200.00


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.


In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
