Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Staff Airborne Systems Operator to support cockpit systems hardware and software development across the lifecycle.

You will coordinate with engineers and customers, conduct briefings, and help define implementations for future development, requiring pilot experience and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Relocation assistance may be available and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with significant military and pilot experience, or a Masters/PhD in STEM and related experience.
• Pilot experience on military aircraft.
• Experience defining system requirements and ensuring design compliance from pilot perspective.
• Ability to coordinate across internal teams, suppliers, and government counterparts.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance and potential program access.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, verification and validation of cockpit systems hardware and software.
• Coordinate with engineers and customers to define implementations and analyze discrepancies.
• Attend meetings and assist in test plan development and demonstrations with customers/government.
