Job summary

Intuit invites a Staff Software Engineer to lead the Unified Fintech API initiative. You will architect the Capability Spec framework, drive consolidation of API surfaces, and enable auto-generated tools and SDKs from capability specs.

You will enforce CI/CD gates and ensure alignment across engineering, product, and compliance for scalable agent-ready capabilities. The role includes mentoring engineers, shaping technical direction, and influencing roadmaps for fintech APIs that power AI agents

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience with API design and distributed systems.
Staff-level or equivalent technical leadership across multiple teams.
Strong background in API platforms and developer tooling (OpenAPI, REST, schema-driven codegen).
Hands-on experience with AI agent tooling and safety/compliance considerations in fintech.

Responsibilities

Architect the Capability Spec framework to be the single source of truth for OpenAPI schemas, Skill manifests, and tool definitions.
Drive consolidation of fragmented API surfaces into the Unified Fintech API as an agent-ready contract.
Build CI/CD enforcement and drift-detection to keep specs, code, and docs in sync.
Create tooling to auto-generate Functional/Integration Skills, MCP tools, and SDKs from Capability Specs.
Set technical direction and mentor engineers across teams while shaping the roadmap.
