Job summary

Ridgeline is seeking a Staff Business Analytics Engineer to lead analytics and FinOps initiatives across the engineering organization. You will build the analytical foundation for cost drivers, unit economics, and forecasts, translating complex data into trusted models and actionable insights for leaders.

You will partner with Engineering, Finance, and other stakeholders to optimize spend, drive investment decisions, and improve planning.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in business analytics, analytics engineering, FinOps, or related field.
• Ability to lead complex analytics initiatives at Staff level and influence decisions.
• Experience analyzing cloud, infrastructure, or other cost structures and their drivers.
• Experience developing forecasts, unit economics, cost allocation, scenario analyses.

Responsibilities

• Own FinOps analytics and visibility into technology spend, drivers, utilization, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop unit economic models linking costs to product, customer, workload, and business drivers.
• Build forecast models for cloud and engineering costs to improve planning and investments.
• Analyze performance vs forecasts and translate insights into actionable recommendations for Engineering and Finance leaders.
• Establish scalable allocation and attribution methodologies for products, services, environments, and workloads.
• Partner with Engineering, Finance, and leaders to evaluate tradeoffs between cost, performance, and impact.
• Define metrics and analytical frameworks for engineering performance.
• Build scalable data models, dashboards, and self-service analytics for trusted visibility.
