Job summary

Renesas is seeking a Staff Field Applications Engineer (Analog & Power) to lead system-level power/analog solutions for key customers. The role emphasizes design-in to design-win, with extensive hands-on lab work, schematic reviews, and customer guidance from concept to production readiness.

The ideal candidate will manage power architecture development, perform design reviews, and drive product evaluations while collaborating with sales and BU teams to align roadmaps with field needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analog and power electronics (customer-facing or design role).
• Translate component-level design into system-level solutions and communicate value to customers.
• Hands-on lab and bench testing to debug power/analog systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer power architecture development, device selection, and system optimization.
• Perform design reviews, root-cause analysis, and hands-on debugging of analog/power issues.
• Drive new product evaluations and competitive positioning for power/analog portfolio.
• Execute lab work including board bring-up, measurements, validation, and failure analysis.
• Provide actionable, system-level feedback to influence product development.
• Deliver customer trainings, seminars, and design workshops.
• Travel as needed to support engagements (≤10–20%).
