Job summary

Renesas Electronics seeks an experienced Staff Product Engineer to lead development, qualification, release, and sustaining of advanced power semiconductor products. You will own lifecycle activities from silicon bring-up through high-volume production, driving quality, yield, reliability, and customer success.

Ideal candidate has deep expertise in power/analog/mixed-signal technologies, strong ownership, and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams while delivering robust product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of semiconductor product engineering, test engineering or related roles.
• Deep experience in power/analog/mixed-signal products and NPI through sustaining.
• Proven track record solving complex technical and yield-related issues.
• Strong data analysis skills (JMP, Python, MATLAB or similar).
• Experience with ATE, silicon characterization, and production environments.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own product engineering activities across full lifecycle from silicon bring-up to sustaining.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex product, test, and manufacturing issues.
• Drive yield, test efficiency, product performance, and cost of quality improvements.
• Define characterization and qualification strategies for robust releases.
• Partner with design and test teams to optimize DFT, test coverage, and correlation.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve customer issues and field escalations.
• Analyze yield, parametric, and reliability data to identify trends and actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practice development.
