Job summary

Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) is seeking a Staff Engineering Technician for an onsite role in Overland Park, KS. The position supports engineering and design teams, applying established design practices and standards to deliverables.

The role requires overhead transmission design experience, PLS-CADD proficiency, and the use of BIM/3D modelling tools to create and maintain technical documentation and project outputs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes and policies and procedures.
• Reviews design inputs to ensure consistency and compliance with codes and standards.
• May define work assignments and maintain schedules; supports field activities as needed.
• Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information.
