Job summary

OTSI(Object Technology Solutions, Inc) has an immediate opening for a Staff Engineering Technician to support government & communities infrastructure projects. You will create and modify site development plans using CAD/BIM tools like Civil 3D or MicroStation, under general supervision.

Focus on delivering high-quality technical deliverables, following CLIENT standards, and collaborating with design teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Capable of handling difficult technical assignments within an area of expertise and can provide technical guidance to other professionals.
Performs design calculations, detailed material quantities and estimates, and records.
May review the deliverables of others.
May define work assignments and maintain schedules.
May program control systems or participate in other plant startup activities.
Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development.
May support field activities.

Responsibilities

Develops and modifies site development plans using industry-standard design tools.
Creates and maintains technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
Applies engineering principles to develop moderately complex design concepts and deliverables.
Provides technical guidance to other professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency.
