Job summary

You will guide junior staff, ensure quality across outputs, and contribute to Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the Distributed Infrastructure initiative.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) is hiring a Staff Engineering Technician. Location: Jacksonville, FL (others: Overland Park, KS; Denver, CO; Ann Arbor, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ).

Responsibilities

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Under general direction, supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.
• Applies foundational engineering principles and established design practices to create moderately complex design concepts and solutions.
• Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
• Provides technical guidance and may offer direction to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency across project outputs.

Skills and Abilities

• Role is within the client Distributed Infrastructure solution, supporting client needs related to Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Advanced Civil 3D experience required with use of proposed grading surfaces and plan development.
