Summary

We are seeking a Staff Engineer join our Water business line in Houston! This is a great opportunity for an E.I.T. who is interested in working with a dynamic team on a wide range of projects for our Water-Wastewater Team. We specialize in providing planning, design, and construction phase engineering services on a wide range of projects, including improvements to wastewater treatment plants, wastewater collection systems, drinking water plants, and water distribution systems.

You will be working side-by-side with a team of knowledgeable engineers and professionals in an environment that fosters collaboration and career development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs design work on a variety of projects using relevant office software, modeling and/or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) technology.
• Completes calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems.
• Prepares specification materials through the use of research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project.
• Performs research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of project work or inspection.
• Assists in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Completes field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
• Communicates with clients, staff and internal design teams as directed by senior engineering staff.

Education and Experience

• A candidate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in relevant discipline
• Possession of Engineer-In-Training certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months
• Recently graduated students are welcome to apply!
• A candidate with proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ideally, familiarity with AutoCAD or other relevant design software.
• Possesses technical verbal and writing skills.
• Must be able to prepare, read and interpret technical literature and engineering plans.
• Capable of correctly operating technical analysis equipment and computer equipment.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to apply engineering knowledge toward solving assigned tasks and engineering activities.
• Prior water/wastewater experience helpful
