Shape the Future of Clean Water — Join Our Team!
Are you an Electrical Engineer passionate about creating smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable water infrastructure? Do you want to make a tangible difference in communities while working with a collaborative, innovative team? Look no further — ms is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support exciting water and wastewater projects across the region.

For over 40 years, we’ve been dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities we serve — one drop at a time. We design and deliver essential drinking water, wastewater, and water resource engineering services that help protect our environment and public health. When you join us, you’re not just working on infrastructure — you’re helping build a better tomorrow.

What You'll Do:

As part of our Water team and working under our Process and Controls Technical Service Manager, you’ll be a key player in planning and designing electrical systems for critical infrastructure projects. You’ll collaborate with engineers, drafters, and technical managers to bring innovative water and wastewater solutions to life. This is a hybrid role with flexibility and support for work-life balance.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Planning production for industrial (water/wastewater) and environmental facilities utilizing AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Coordinating design elements with other in-house disciplines, including architecture, structures, environmental, civil, and landscape design.
  • Defining equipment, layout, and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations in accordance with all applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Interpreting customer requirements and developing appropriate distribution station plans and specifications.
  • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation.
  • Preparing electrical calculations for power distribution (low/medium voltage), lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems.

What You'll Bring:

  • Knowledge of power distribution (low and medium voltage), standby power systems, instrumentation, controls, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Experience in Water and Wastewater treatment is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with ICC, NEC, NFPA building codes, and LEED standards.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit design software.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Hybrid work options for flexibility and balance.
  • A supportive team environment with mentorship and growth opportunities.
  • Diverse and meaningful projects that directly improve communities.
  • A mission-driven culture focused on innovation and sustainability.
