Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Engineer - Survivability to join our team in Palmdale, CA, or Rancho Bernardo, CA. The successful candidate will develop and procure aircraft survivability subsystems, lead integration and test efforts, and support advanced programs.

The role requires deep RF/antenna knowledge, systems engineering experience, and the ability to manage suppliers. Travel up to 25% may be needed, and a Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12 years of related engineering experience; or Master’s with 10 years; or PhD with 8 years.
• Demonstrated depth of knowledge of RF and Antenna functionality, with RF integration and testing experience.
• Experience in Survivability / Low Observables, radar cross section / RF signature concepts.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, LRU integration and testing, and supplier management.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within time needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system requirements, architecture, and procurement specs, ICDs, and Statements of Work.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors within a Supplier Management Team, overseeing development and sustainment.
• Establish and coordinate test plans, support test execution, and analyze post-test data.
• Communicate risks, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Chain, Facilities, IT and Security.
