Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer - Survivability to join our team in Palmdale, CA or Rancho Bernardo, CA. You will contribute to the development, integration, and testing of aircraft survivability subsystems for advanced programs.

The role requires expertise in RF/antenna design and testing, systems engineering, and supplier management, with current Top Secret clearance or eligibility. On-site work is required with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related engineering experience; OR Master’s with 6+ years; OR PhD with 4+ years.
• Demonstrated depth of knowledge of RF and Antenna functionality, with RF integration and testing experience.
• Experience in Survivability/Low Observables, applying electromagnetic principles related to Radar Cross Section / RF signature.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, LRU integration and testing, and supplier management.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance (or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation)
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system requirements; create sub-system architecture and drawings; write procurement specs and ICDs.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors within a Supplier Management Team.
• Establish and coordinate test plans; support test execution and post-test analysis.
• Communicate risks, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Chain, Facilities, IT and Security.
