Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Engineer - Survivability to join our team in Palmdale, CA, with up to 50% travel to domestic and international locations. Responsibilities include analyzing survivability, testing, and coordinating with design and supplier teams.

The role requires a strong STEM background, active Top Secret clearance, and experience across RF/IR/Vis and test environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5+ years of related engineering experience; or a Master’s with 3 years; or a PhD with 1 year.
• Senior LV4: 8+ years with Bachelor's; or 6 years with Master; or 4 years with PhD.
• Fundamental understanding of Survivability principles (RF/IR/Vis/acoustic) and related testing.
• Active U.S. Govt Top Secret clearance or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with designers and sustainment engineers to ensure Survivability requirements compliance.
• Develop and integrate technology to reduce system detectability.
• Design, plan, and execute RF/IR tests and deliver reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers on material/design delivery and testing.
