Job summary

Remitly is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Receiver Products team to build a new generation of financial services for remittance receivers. This full-stack role spans web, mobile, and backend services, with leadership in technical direction and architecture.

You will partner across product, design, analytics, compliance, and engineering to turn ambitious ideas into reliable, scalable systems, embedding AML/KYC and security from day one, while meeting strict availability and latency SLOs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building customer-facing experiences at product scale.
• Strong backend and frontend capabilities across web/mobile.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design and architecture for complex full-stack systems.
• Deliver 0-to-1 product experiences end-to-end for receivers.
• Collaborate with product, design, analytics, compliance, and engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive code reviews and standards.
• Ensure security, AML/KYC and regulatory compliance from day one.
• Architect scalable, observable systems with reliable SLAs.
