Job summary

Pantheon Systems, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead and hands-on-build a real-time collaborative platform for content management. You will shape architecture across APIs, data models, and client-side state, working with product and design to define standards and build-vs-buy decisions.

You will develop backend services for scalable editing and content delivery, and frontend systems for live editing experiences, while mentoring engineers and engaging with customers to validate patterns.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with ownership across the full product lifecycle.
• Shipped production backend and frontend systems.
• Experience with real-time or collaborative systems.
• Cloud-native fluency across major clouds and containerization.
• Strong opinions and practice in REST, GraphQL, and event-driven APIs.
• Frontend architecture chops: component modeling and browser performance.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services powering collaborative editing at scale.
• Build frontend systems for visual, real-time editing experiences.
• Own the integration layer between editing and platform APIs.
• Contribute to UX architecture with design on novel editing flows.
