Job summary

Pantheon is hiring a Software Engineer II to help build a real-time, collaborative content platform across backend, APIs, and frontend systems. You will work with a small, senior team shaping product decisions and delivering end-to-end features that empower developers and content teams.

You will be part of a remote-forward team, collaborate with design and product, and help define the architecture while shipping high-quality software, tests, and maintainable code across the stack.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Shipped production code on both backend and frontend.
• Experience with REST, GraphQL, or webhooks.
• Comfortable in cloud-native environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Strong fundamentals: tests, tradeoffs, and maintainability.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Active involvement with AI in development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features across backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
• Write clean, well-tested code with shared ownership of quality.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into software.
• Integrate AI tooling into the development workflow and product.
• Participate in code review and maintain a high engineering bar.
