Job summary

Partner Company in the United States is seeking a high-impact staff-level engineer to build pricing infrastructure behind a modern energy transaction platform. You will own backend systems that price real energy contracts, where accuracy directly affects financial outcomes.

You will own the Pricing API, lead architectural decoupling, and maintain pricing reliability through monitoring and alerting. This role is remote-first with flexible arrangements, stock options, and generous leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive production experience with Python backend engineering and API design at scale.
• Strong proficiency with FastAPI and SQL in data-heavy systems where numerical correctness matters.
• Experience using AI coding tools and designing multi-agent workflows to improve development throughput.
• Ability to operate as a senior technical authority with influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, evolve, and operate the Pricing API, ensuring it is fast, reliable, accurate, and ready for third-party consumption.
• Lead architectural decoupling and migrations, and own pricing reliability through monitoring and alerting systems.
• Act as a senior technical authority, influencing technical direction across teams without formal management responsibility.
