Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and engineering of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems in Texas, including Houston project sites.

The role requires 5-12 years of power distribution experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS, and an EIT or progress toward certification. A valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites are also required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• 5-12 years of power distribution experience
• Experience with overhead or underground distribution systems
• Knowledge of electrical utility standards and NESC requirements
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
• EIT certification or progress toward obtaining EIT
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, or utility design software

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
• Prepare construction drawings, engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and project documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver projects safely and efficiently
