Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Distribution Design Engineer to support an electric utility team. This role leads the design and delivery of complex electrical distribution projects for overhead and underground systems, ensuring smooth progression from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and hands-on CAD design experience. You will coordinate with clients and field teams to keep projects on schedule and within scope.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, field experience, and the ability to independently manage projects.This position plays a key role in supporting residential, commercial, and industrial developments, as well as joint-use and lighting projects. In addition to technical design work, the engineer will serve as a point of contact for clients and construction teams, ensuring projects move efficiently from concept through construction.
