Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer in SSD Validation to lead end-to-end validation across Enterprise and Datacenter NVMe SSDs. You will drive automated testing, system bring-up, and joint qualification for customers, coordinating across firmware, hardware, and software teams.

You will mentor engineers, promote shift-left validation, and apply data-driven methods to improve test coverage and production readiness on both internal and customer platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of SSD, storage, or semiconductor validation with deep knowledge of NVMe and PCIe protocols.
• Hands-on expertise with Linux environments, system setup, OS bring-up, drive triage, and root-cause analysis of complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level validation and qualification, performing end-to-end testing across SSDs, firmware, drivers, OS, networking, and platform configurations.
• Develop and drive automated test frameworks and Python-based tools to enable AI-assisted validation workflows.
