Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Staff Engineer to design and build the next generation user experiences across our product suite. You will lead with technical excellence, mentor teams, and own end-to-end systems including monitoring, observability, and incident response.

You will collaborate with product teams to provide tooling and platforms that enable scalable, reliable user experiences for human and agent users, while contributing to the platform that processes billions of evaluations daily.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building large-scale products with sophisticated audiences and technical leadership across teams.
• Go, Python, or similar languages used.
• Event-driven architectures and large-scale data processing.
• Cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and data stores such as ClickHouse, Redis, DynamoDB, Kafka.
• Experiment lifecycle tooling and telemetry.
• Familiarity with competitors (Statsig, Eppo, GrowthBook, Optimizely).
• Bayesian experimentation or causal inference experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and design next generation user experiences across LaunchDarkly suite.
• Collaborate with product teams to provide tools and platform for UX work.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical rigor and system design.
• Own operational excellence for the experience platform including monitoring and on-call.
• Implement robust telemetry and alerting.
