LaunchDarkly is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Experimentation team to lead the core platform from setup to results processing and display.

You will balance people management with technical leadership, guiding multiple services that power the product and fostering a high‑performing engineering culture. Remote-friendly role with U.S. geographic pay zones and strong emphasis on observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years managing backend or infrastructure teams.
• Proven ability to translate business goals into engineering plans with reliable estimations.
• Strong communication skills in distributed, cross-timezone environments.
• Experience with observability practices and production incident response.
• Familiarity with data warehouse platforms and data pipeline tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers with coaching and career growth.
• Partner with PM and Design to scope and sequence roadmap items with reliable estimates.
• Own the team's delivery of features within timelines and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Integrations, Metrics, and Guardian on infra decisions.
• Communicate roadmaps, risks, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
• Build norms promoting collaboration and reducing silos while engaging engineers.
• Drive operational excellence—improve reliability, observability, and incident response.
