French & Parrello Associates (FPA) seeks a Staff Engineer for our Municipal Services team in Wall Township, NJ. This entry-level civil engineering role focuses on planning and design of municipal infrastructure, supporting permitting and construction activities, and building a long-term career with a growing Northeast engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0–2 years of municipal/civil/site/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office; understanding of codes and regs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design, and preparation of plans, specs, reports, and cost estimates.
• Perform calculations for grading, drainage, water/sewer, and road design.
• Prepare permit applications and coordinate with agencies.
• Support project managers in delivery, scheduling, budgeting, and communications.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction observations.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software to prepare designs.
