French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for our Civil/Site Department in Wall, NJ. The role involves aiding in civil/site plan design, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control, with responsibilities spanning document preparation and coordination across disciplines.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree, 2–4 years of civil/site experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; EIT is preferred. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 annually.

Qualifications

• EIT certification or on track to obtain.
• Familiarity with stormwater design and hydrology/hydraulics software.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of civil/site plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control
• Prepare construction documents, reports, and technical specifications
• Perform site layout, stormwater management, and utility design calculations
• Support the preparation of permit applications and regulatory submissions
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation as needed
• Review and interpret survey data, zoning requirements, and environmental constraints
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in civil/site design (land development experience preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Familiarity with stormwater design and hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or similar)

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
