Job summary

Hinge Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to own the technical direction of new MSK programs, from concept to scalable delivery. You will design greenfield features, extend shared services (NestJS, React Native, PostgreSQL), and partner with Product to translate strategy into plans.

You’ll mentor engineers, raise engineering standards, and collaborate across teams to deliver cohesive member experiences. A strong background in TypeScript, cloud platforms, and distributed systems is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering (non-internship).
• 2+ years of TypeScript/JavaScript across stack (Node.js/NestJS backend; React/React Native frontend).
• 2+ years of cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization tools.
• 2+ years of relational databases, distributed systems, and microservices architectures.
• 3+ years mentoring or leading engineers and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive pod technical direction, set roadmap and architectural calls.
• Lead design and delivery of new MSK programs, building differentiating features.
• Expand and harden shared platform to support new programs across services.
• Design within NestJS backend, React Native app, PostgreSQL to avoid fragmentation.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across teams.
