Job summary

Hinge Health in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Engineer to own the core MSK programs and the build-out of new offerings, such as migraine, spanning NestJS backend, React Native frontend, and PostgreSQL. Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of TypeScript/JavaScript across the stack (Node.js/NestJS backend; React/React Native frontend).
• 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization tools.
• 2+ years of experience mentoring or leading other engineers.
• 2+ years of experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead through influence on ambiguous, complex problems and set direction via your work and design docs.
• Deliver the technical design and delivery of new MSK programs and features.
• Harden and scale newly launched programs for reliability and performance.
• Extend and integrate with existing services (NestJS backend, React Native app, PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate with Product to translate strategy into technical plans and trade-offs.
• Coordinate across teams to deliver a cohesive member experience across services.
• Elevate engineering practices with CI/CD, testing, and monitoring; mentor others.
