Hinge Health is hiring a frontend-leaning Software Engineer to build fast, accessible UIs using React, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams. You’ll contribute to Node/NestJS GraphQL APIs, maintain design-system consistency, and own features end-to-end in a hybrid devops environment with high security standards.

The role emphasizes ownership, performance, accessibility, and collaboration in delivering healthcare software that serves diverse members across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of frontend software development experience.
• 2+ years with React.
• Experience building user-facing features and components.
• Experience with design systems or theming at scale.
• Knowledge of web performance, accessibility, React rendering patterns.
• Proficiency with modern tools: CI/CD, Docker, AWS, observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain accessible React-based UIs.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers on end-to-end features.
• Review code and provide constructive feedback.
• Debug and troubleshoot codebases efficiently.
• Participate in planning, estimation, and technical decisions.
• Improve development workflows and tooling.
• Use observability tools to monitor performance and errors.
• Own features post-release and ensure stability.
