This individual contributor role emphasizes influencing architecture, enabling engineers to deliver with confidence, and shaping durable patterns while addressing customer and business needs.

Qualifications

• Expertise in event-driven architectures and scalable data systems.
• Experience with streaming protocols and stateful connections.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Rust for systems programming.
• Demonstrated leadership across teams without formal authority.
• Strong focus on security, observability, and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for high-impact systems and cross-team initiatives.
• Lead architecture and design to improve scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Clarify problems, identify leverage, and help teams make informed decisions.
• Partner with Product, Design, Eng Mgmt, and leaders to align tech with outcomes.
• Influence teams beyond your immediate area with strong proposals.
• Improve engineering effectiveness via patterns, docs, and process improvements.
• Contribute hands-on when needed on critical projects.
• Represent customer needs in technical and product discussions.
• Mentor engineers and expand their scope.
