Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a Staff Engineer II specializing in AI-forward full-stack development for Lending platforms. You will deliver secure, scalable APIs and cloud-native solutions, guiding junior engineers and aligning work with governance standards.

You will work across Azure, .NET, Python, and React to modernize Lending operations, implement AI-assisted development practices, and collaborate with architecture and QA teams to ensure reliable deployments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
7+ years of software engineering or IT development.
Experience leading features, components, or small work streams is preferred.
Experience delivering cloud-native Azure solutions including APIs and data integrations.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical expertise across Lending platforms and the Lending Services Framework (LSF).
Lead design and execution of moderately complex loan processing and reporting initiatives.
Develop AI-enabled full-stack solutions using Azure, .NET, Python, and React.
Design, build, and secure APIs with standard security, versioning, and observability practices.
Champion governance, security, and compliance while guiding junior engineers.
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with partners, architects, QA, and cross-functional teams to translate lending requirements.
Produce technical documentation in line with WAB IT standards.
