Job summary

Verdantas in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Civil Engineer with a geotechnical focus to support field-intensive projects, data collection, site inspections, and technical design.

The role involves preparing health and safety plans, analyzing field and lab data, and assisting with cost estimates and documentation, with up to 90% travel.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical), 0–2 years of consulting geotechnical experience, and may have EIT.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical focus required/preferred.
• 0–2 years of consulting geotechnical experience.
• E.I.T. strongly preferred and ability to communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in health and safety plans and client documentation.
• Collect and interpret data from field observations, testing, and file reviews.
• Assist in preparing detailed plans and technical specifications.
• Perform computations and data processing using established software.
• Assist in cost estimates for design implementation.
• Travel up to 90% for field work and inspections.

Verdantas is seeking a Civil Engineer with a geotechnical focus in Fort Worth, Texas, to support field‑intensive projects through data collection, site inspections, and technical design. This role includes preparing health and safety plans, analyzing field and lab data, and assisting with cost estimates and documentation. This position is Ideal for a motivated self‑starter eager to grow in a dynamic, travel‑heavy consulting environment.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare or assist with preparation of health and safety plans, and implements health and safety plans, including client specific requirements and documentation such as forms, job safety analysis (JSAs), etc
• Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing and other methods
• Assist in preparing detailed plans and technical specifications
• Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation
• Perform other engineering related tasks for projects (i.e. designs, drawing, site inspections etc.) under the supervision of senior engineers
• Able to travel 90% of the time

What You Bring:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred)
• 0- 2 years of consulting Geotechnical Engineering experience
• Ability to speak and write professionally
• Highly motivated, self‑starter with the desire to learn quickly and succeed professionally
• E.I.T. strongly preferred

Salary Range:

$60,000 to $65,000
