Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a Staff Engineer to help keep the hospital's physical structure and equipment in good repair.

The role covers electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks, with priority on reliability and safety across HVAC and environmental systems. You will participate in CQI activities, support daily maintenance, and work a varied shift schedule as part of a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to follow written, oral or diagram instructions.
• Ability to handle problems with several concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs HVAC controls and equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Performs urgent, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Assists in keeping the hospital facilities in good repair and participates in CQI activities.
