Job summary

Braun Intertec is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer in Hibbing, Minnesota, to lead geotechnical, special inspections, and construction materials testing projects. You’ll mentor staff, build client partnerships, and drive projects from concept to completion.

The position offers a signing bonus up to $5,000 and a chance to contribute to community infrastructure. You’ll work in a collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth and PE licensure within 12–24 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Geotechnical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of professional consulting experience; geotechnical experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license; EIT certification; ability to obtain PE within 12–24 months.
• Experience with Microsoft applications and geotechnical analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical site observations and field testing with limited oversight.
• Perform lab testing and data analysis for projects with guidance.
• Prepare reports and project data with direction.
• Maintain client communication and relationships; anticipate client needs.
• Prepare proposals for geotechnical and material testing projects.
• Manage small to medium sized CMT projects.
• Perform engineering analysis under supervision of senior engineers.
• Develop solutions and engineering reports for simple projects.
