Job summary

Braun Intertec in St. Cloud, MN is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead geotechnical, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects. You will mentor staff, build client partnerships, and drive projects from concept through completion, including proposals and deliverables.

The role demands strong communication, risk management, and technical leadership with a track record of delivering complex projects. Signing bonus up to $30,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Geotechnical engineering, or closely related field.
• Master of Science degree is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of direct experience in engineering or materials science related research or consulting services.
• Current driver's license and PE license for 4+ years.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare proposals for simple to complex projects.
• Independently perform engineering analysis using standard formulas and computer software.
• Collaborate on highly complex projects with other senior and principal engineers.
• Review field reports documenting contractors work methods, test results, and interpretations.
• Act as the primary author of deliverables for projects.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical reviews.
• Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians.
• Direct project teams and manage projects with significant business impact.
• Develop client relationships and manage communications to meet schedules.
