Job summary

EnergyHub is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data and Partner Platform (DAP) team to shape the future of energy tech. You will steer architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and build reliable, scalable systems grounded in the energy industry.

You will lead data ingestion, processing, and integrations with partners, APIs, and data pipelines, while driving operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration across product, operations, and business teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated staff-level responsibilities or equivalent scope.
• Full-stack background with scaling distributed systems and well-architected microservices.
• Strong proficiency with gRPC/protobuf, RESTful APIs, and contract-driven development across multi-repo service meshes.
• Clear understanding of OLAP vs OLTP databases, with hands-on data processing experience.
• Experience integrating complex partner APIs and building data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and establish long-term architectural direction across teams.
• Architect and implement scalable data ingestion, processing and observability systems.
• Design and build API integrations with partners and data sources (CSV/SFTP/Airflow pipelines).
• Develop and maintain microservices and contract-driven APIs used by other teams.
• Lead incident investigations end-to-end and drive root-cause analysis and recovery.
