Job summary

EnergyHub seeks a Principal Data Engineer to design and implement software that turns millions of energy IoT devices into grid resources. You will lead data pipelines, APIs, and data models, and mentor engineers across teams.

You will collaborate with analytics and ML teams to deliver insights and build scalable, reliable systems for energy markets and platform integrations. This role offers ownership and impact across the company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience building data pipelines and ELT/ETL systems.
• Ability to lead system design and architecture.
• Experience with data warehouses and data modeling (Snowflake preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions for energy IoT data and grid resources.
• Ingest and manage data from meter systems, AMI, EMS/SCADA, and GIS.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams on roadmaps and initiatives.
• Develop APIs and tools to enable integration with partners and hardware.
• Improve scale, automation, and reliability of data pipelines.
