EnergyHub is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data and Partner Platform team to shape the future of energy technology. You will operate at the intersection of technical craft and broad organizational impact, mentoring engineers and building scalable systems that support partner integrations and data translation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with staff-level responsibilities.
• Proven full-stack background with distributed systems and designing solidly-architected microservices.
• Strong proficiency with gRPC/protobuf, RESTful APIs, and contract driven development across multi-repository service meshes.
• Clear understanding of OLAP vs OLTP databases with hands-on high-performance data processes.
• Demonstrated experience integrating complex partner APIs and building data pipelines.
• Relentless drive for quality and performance with testing discipline (unit/integration/E2E).
• Proactive observability and incident-response capabilities; on-call experience.
• Thoughtful use of AI/LLM tooling to improve efficiency without over-reliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and vision across engineering teams.
• Coordinate across teams to align on technical direction, standards and best practices.
• Design and implement scalable systems for ingesting, processing, observing, and maintaining billions of data points.
• Build and maintain microservices and APIs with contract-driven development.
• Design integrations with partner and third-party APIs and data pipelines (CSV/SFTP/Airflow).
• Lead investigations end-to-end from alert to root cause and prevent recurrence.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, operations and business teams.
• Manage access and roles ensuring privacy and security compliance.
