Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Staff Engineer to support Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection from our Tallahassee, FL office. The role involves a balance of fieldwork and office tasks on a variety of projects, with duties including data analysis, reporting and client communication.

The position emphasizes field inspection, sampling and testing of soils, concrete, masonry and reinforcing steel, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply.
• EIT is preferred, or ability to obtain in 3 months.
• 0-1 years Construction Materials experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Staff engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for projects.

NOVA Engineering is hiring a Staff Engineer to work on Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects based from our Tallahassee, FL office.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Staff engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects (both Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
• Assisting with project management & reporting
• Field inspection, sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
• Report preparation
• Client consultation and maintenance

The preferred candidate will have:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required
• Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply!
• EIT is preferred, or ability to obtain in 3 months
• 0 -1 years Construction Materials experience preferred, not required
• Position entails approximately 80% fieldwork and 20% office with occasional travel.
