Job summary

NOVA Engineering in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Project Manager to lead Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects from our local office.

You will conduct field data collection, analysis, and reporting, manage client communication, and support field crews on diverse building projects. Requirements include 5+ years in materials testing and relevant certifications; B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction materials testing and/or special inspections are required.
• ACI, ICC or other related certifications are a plus.
• Metafield experience is a plus; not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork on multiple project types.
• Assist with project management & reporting.
• Field inspection, sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
• Prepare reports and communicate results to clients.
• Consult with clients and maintain relationships.
• Support other NOVA team members to achieve company objectives.

Description

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to work on Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects in Tallahassee, FL office.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Field engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects (Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
• Assisting with project management & reporting
• Field inspection, sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
• Report preparation
• Client consultation and maintenance
• Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company.

The preferred candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience in construction materials testing and/or special inspections is required
• ACI, ICC or other related certifications a plus
• Metafield experience a plus
• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering a plus (not required)
