Job summary

GC AI is building the future of legal AI. In this role you’ll own the Microsoft Word Add-in experience, helping in-house lawyers surgically redline contracts, draft clauses on the fly, and spot risks without leaving Word.

You’ll work with our founding team and top engineers to ship fast, reliable features that feel native to the legal workflow, with ownership, urgency, and real impact from day one. GC AI is distributed across North America, with plans to expand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software with editor or rich-client focus.
• Strong TypeScript and React expertise.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Add-ins or similar embedded apps.
• Deep understanding of real-time collaboration and document manipulation.
• Track record of shipping polished, user-facing features.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine the Microsoft Word Add-in.
• Improve latency, reliability, and micro-interactions.
• Architect the bridge between AI backend and Word document model.
• Ship features like playbook-driven reviews and clause libraries.
• Collaborate with the AI team to integrate model outputs into the legal workflow.
