Job summary

Rippling seeks a Staff Engineer for AI Experiences to design and implement cross-channel AI surfaces and developer tooling. You will shape the platform primitives that let Rippling AI run across Slack, Teams, Email, CLI, and desktop apps, while guiding 24+ product teams in embedding AI features.

Based in San Francisco, this hands-on role reports to engineering leadership and drives the company’s upmarket enterprise scaling with innovative, secure AI interfaces.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend-leaning fullstack foundation.
• Experience building scalable, reusable framework architectures for internal engineering teams.
• Product-minded with a focus on abstractions, code durability and multi-protocol state management.
• Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own Omni-Channel Frameworks across Slack, Teams, Email, CLI, and desktop shells.
• Engineer the Developer Experience (DevX) with robust APIs and abstractions.
• Evolve interactive UX primitives from text walls to dynamic UI components.
• Collaborate on frontend primitives for background execution engines and auditability.
• Drive cross-functional pods linking SF and global infrastructure teams.
• Champion AI-native engineering and upskill peers on AI tooling.
