Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, emerging AI capabilities, and frontend experiences.

You will mentor engineers, define technical roadmaps, and implement secure APIs, data integrations, and cloud-native pipelines, delivering high-availability software in a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering focusing on full-stack development and scalable applications.
• Experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep expertise in server-side languages and microservices architectures.
• Experience integrating AI models and APIs into software products.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable web applications.
• Architect and implement dashboards and data visualizations surface insights.
• Design and develop secure, scalable APIs and data integrations.
• Champion AI/ML integration into core products and workflows.
• Build advanced MFT orchestrations with monitoring and self-service capabilities.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure (IaC).
• Establish monitoring, logging, and performance profiling across stack.
• Mentor frontend, backend, and DevOps engineers; shape technical roadmap.
