Job summary

Panorama Education is seeking a Staff Engineer, Agentic Developer Platform to design and own Panorama's internal AI platform. You will shape the agent framework, shared systems, and tooling that lets engineers, PMs, and operators go from idea to AI-powered workflows.

This is a greenfield role with early architectural decisions and close feedback loops with users across teams. The role emphasizes platform thinking, enabling others, and building infrastructure that scales to 15 million students

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering with platform/infrastructure focus.
• Experience building shared systems used by other engineers.
• Hands-on experience with production AI systems (LLM integrations, agent tooling, retrieval pipelines).
• Strong API and abstraction design, surface area vs complexity.
• Familiarity with MCP or similar tool-use/integration patterns.
• Track record delivering greenfield technical work and early architectural decisions.
• Collaborative and transparent, able to lead cross-functional alignment.
• Experience turning demos into production-grade AI work.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the core AI infrastructure and shared systems for Panorama's AI-powered workflows.
• Define model selection, orchestration patterns, data access layers, and deployment standards.
• Build an extensible platform that teams can extend with minimal involvement.
• Develop agent framework and skill library enabling scalable automation across teams.
• Provide technical scaffolding, guidance, and onboarding to internal teams.
