Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Ads Business Manager team in San Francisco.

You will shape long-term technical strategy, own end-to-end execution, and collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and partner teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions. You will lead cross-functional initiatives across business identity, governance, and access-control systems, mentor engineers, influence roadmap, and drive adoption of Business Manager and Business Hub capabilities

Qualifications

• 7+ years software engineering experience building production services at scale.
• Ads domain experience.
• Previous experience as a Tech Lead or similar function.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with a service-oriented team and company.
• Experience coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams, and driving alignment between diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in solving complex system scaling and latency performance problems.
• Strong proficiency in one or more AI tools for all steps of the development cycle.
• Strong proficiency in one or more: Go, Python; plus experience with service frameworks (gRPC/Thrift) and API design.
• Experience with distributed systems, data modeling, and event‑driven architectures (e.g., Kafka/PubSub).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy for business identity, governance, permissions, and organizational management systems.
• Lead large cross-functional projects end to end, from concept to launch and adoption.
• Have a strong product sense and translate user feedback into roadmap features.
• Mentor engineers and leaders, share industry knowledge, and contribute to the team's growth.
• Disambiguate complex problems, align stakeholders, and prioritize execution.
• Make system-level improvements and implement complex code changes.
• Collaborate with teams to drive adoption of Business Manager and Business Hub across Reddit products.
