Job summary

Reddit is seeking an experienced frontend engineer to own complex features across Ads Manager’s creative and recommendation workflows. You will partner with product, design, data science, ML, and backend teams to turn sophisticated capabilities into simple, fast, accessible experiences.

You’ll shape architecture, performance, and maintainability while delivering end-to-end solutions that advertisers rely on to create compelling campaigns.

Qualifications

• Comfort using Codex, Cursor, Claude, or comparable agentic coding tools in day-to-day software development.
• Track record of independently delivering complex frontend projects from design through launch and iteration.
• Sound judgment in frontend architecture, state management, component design, testing, and API integration.
• Experience building polished user interfaces with usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability in mind.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous product and technical problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, product, design, and data.
• Experience using instrumentation or product metrics to improve UX.
• Active participation in code reviews and mentoring.”
• Experience building advertising, campaign management, or complex business applications.
• Experience designing interfaces for generative AI, ML, or recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design and delivery of complex frontend features across Ads Manager’s creative and recommendation workflows.
• Translate AI-backed capabilities into advertiser-facing interfaces that are understandable and controllable.
• Collaborate with product and design to resolve ambiguous requirements and make sound tradeoffs.
• Develop reusable frontend patterns and components for a unified campaign creation experience.
• Instrument experiences, run experiments, and use product data to guide iterations.
• Improve code quality through architecture, testing, observability, and accessibility work.
• Provide high-quality code reviews and technical mentorship to peers.
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, data, and ML systems for reliable end-to-end experiences.
