Mulhern & Kulp Structural Engineering, Inc. is seeking a full-time Drafter with 0-5 years of experience to join our Philadelphia office, located in Ambler, PA. Responsibilities
- Work with Engineers to produce construction documents for single-family homes, multi-family condominiums, office buildings, and other projects such as drafting of structural framing and foundation plans for production homes, custom homes, and townhouses using AutoCAD
- Update existing structural plans for revisions
- Assemble site-specific single-family home plans from a master plan of options
- Prepare drafted site-specific foundation plans unique for building configuration or site requirements
- Draft or edit structural framing details
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in CAD or Building Technology
- Formal training and experience using AutoCAD is required
- Experience using Sapphire strongly desired
- Experience using Revit a plus
Qualifications
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to read, understand, and produce construction drawings and details
- Experience with Revit or 3D modeling programs is a plus
- Knowledge of residential industry or wood framing is a plus
- On-the-job training provided for the right candidate without previous experience as a draftsperson
