Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Test Engineer for a full-time, permanent role in the medical devices space focused on diabetes technology. You'll test mobile apps and their integration with embedded firmware and cloud/server components, working hands-on across the system.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in testing/quality engineering, hands-on Appium automation, experience with BLE devices, and a track record in regulated medical device environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software testing/quality engineering.
• Experience testing connected medical devices and embedded firmware.
• System/integration testing across mobile apps, hardware/firmware, and cloud/server components.
• Hands-on test automation using Appium and Java/Python/C++.
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy devices.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on testing of mobile apps with connected medical devices, firmware, and cloud components.
• Own test cases and features from development through completion.
• Perform manual and automated testing; troubleshoot across the system.
• Collaborate with mobile, firmware, and server engineering teams in a regulated medical device setting.
