Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Embedded Test Engineer to support a medical device client in Portage, MI. This role will validate embedded hardware and firmware by developing and executing test scripts, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting testing on MCU and circuit board-based products.

This onsite lab-based position requires hands-on work in a controlled environment, collaborating with engineering teams to identify defects and maintain Python-based test frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded systems or embedded software experience.
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• Experience with CAN protocol.
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware, electronics, and MCU-based systems.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts for embedded systems
• Perform hardware and firmware validation testing
• Troubleshoot embedded hardware/software issues
• Work with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects
• Maintain and enhance existing Python-based test frameworks
• Support lab testing, fixtures, and hardware setup
