CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead embedded software architectures and drive advanced engineering methodologies for space and airborne platforms. You will shape technical direction across products and programs while collaborating with software, electrical, systems, and hardware teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, cross-functional leadership, and solving complex software/hardware integration challenges, with opportunities to influence future products

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/EE/CE required.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on embedded hardware development experience.
• C/C++ programming, OO languages.
• RTOS experience, real-time Linux desirable.
• Familiarity with SCM tools and defect tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software for devices and systems from requirements to production and deployment.
• Review code and system designs; optimize performance and scalability.
• Interface with hardware, software, and test teams to ensure robust integration.
• Provide post-production support and contribute to SDK development.
